Education Mission

Tuscarawas SWCD educational programs promote the conservation and protection of our many natural resources by using many fun and educational activities.

Available at Our Office:

Groundwater Model:

A hands-on visual aid that takes difficult groundwater concepts and makes them understandable.

Enviroscape:

A model that teaches on overall watershed concepts.

Streamulator:

A large model of a stream that simulates changes in a natural stream such as sediment transport, erosion, etc.

Animal Pelts:

A trunk full of Ohio Animal Pelts that can be touched and teaches on Ohio animals.

The above models are available to be signed out for you to use in your classrooms/programs, etc.
